The Bureau Buttercrane sold a winning £1 million lottery ticket to Colin and Eithne Bell of Newry. The couple are the founders of a wonderful charity, The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust based in Newry, County Down.
A County Down couple who have helped scores of families after setting up the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in memory of their son have won the lottery. Colin and Eithne Bell from Newry, bought their lucky ticket from The Bureau in The Buttercrane Shopping Centre, Newry and were unveiled as winners of £1 million.
The lottery win is happy news for the couple who lost their 26-year-old son Kevin in 2013 when he was knocked down by a car in New York. Shortly after Kevin's death the family set up the trust in his memory and have since helped bring the bodies of many loved ones who have died abroad home to their families in Ireland.
John Gildea, owner of The Bureau Buttercrane, who sold the winning ticket says "This lottery win could not have happened to nicer people, we are absolutely delighted for Colin, Eithne and family. We wish them much happiness with their winnings!"
